Chocolate Dipped Pretzel Rods


Deuce asked for chocolate covered pretzels, to bring to his class, for his birthday. Never made them before, so I gave them a shot!
This made about 40, dipped halfway. I ate all the broken ones, dipped in the melted chocolate. Well, they couldn't go to waste


Chocolate Dipped Pretzel Rods


One bag of pretzel rods
12-ounce bag semisweet or white chocolate chips
Microwave-safe bowl
Cookie sheet lined with waxed paper (or parchment paper)
Colored sugar or sprinkles


Directions

1. Put chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, and microwave on high for 1 minute, 30 seconds. Stir with rubber spatula. If the chips are not melted, heat for 30 more seconds and stir.

2. Dip the spatula into the melted chocolate. Roll the pretzel rod in the chocolate on the spatula so it is half-covered.

3. Lay each chocolate-dipped pretzel on the cookie sheet.

4. Sprinkle on fun sprinkles and sugar. (You could drizzle with opposite color chocolate and make it fancy.)

Let the dipped pretzels sit for 1 hour before serving.
